It's the begining of the 2008 Holiday season and Hobby Time is stocked like never before.
New trains, RC cars and an ever increasing selection of beading sypplies.
I'm amazed at the amount of fun people are having making jewelry.

We are also continuing to improve our web site.
More images and better descriptions.
It seems like climbing mount Everest.

Model Car & Truck Contest

It's set !
On September 29th between 10:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. a model car contest will be held at Hobby Time in Amarillo.
There will be classes for entries and trophies will be awarded.
Start that contest model today.

Contest will be hosted by the Top of Texas Modelers.

Entry details will be forth coming.

Lets have fun and get a lot of entries!

Every week brings new things to Hobby Time.
New model cars from Revell this week.
Next week a new hobby - Treasure Hunting. Yes Hobby Time is getting Garrett metal detectors.
You can expand your hobby or get a new treasure hunting experience. It's fun and it is also good exercise. Beats sitting in front of the TV.
We also have a basic leather class starting on Saturday the 14th so be sure and sign up for that.
Class size is limited.
Also next Saturday we have basic modeling with Mike Allen at 1:00 and the meeting of the Golden Spread Modelers.
Those guys always bring some neat models to display and they enjoy having visitors.

July Fun

June was great and the train show at Hobby Time was a good time for all who visited. Plans are underway for the group to return in October for National Model Railroad Month.
It's July! Summer is upon us and it's a great time to enjoy the outdoors with a new RC car or fix up the old one with parts and hop ups from Hobby Time.
We also are having a lot of fun with the helicopters and airplanes. If you're interested in helicopters stop by and ask me to demonstrate the Blade CX2. It's great fun.
We're getting excited about the track for the Micro T's that we have on order. It should be in soon and we can start racing. Be sure and get your Micro-T and start practicing.
